Embracing the Mess, with Elle Rosselli

Episode 53. “This isn't going to look perfect. This is going to be messy, but as long as it gets done and keeps moving in a forward direction, it doesn't matter how many steps you take. It's part of being a parent and starting a business, embracing the mess.”  

After spending a decade as a dental hygienist, Elle made the leap to being her own boss by becoming a copywriter. She now helps busy coaches, consultants, and course creators increase conversions with authentic copy that’s true to their unique brand voice. 

Elle shares the struggles and “lies” when it comes to being a business owner AND mom to 2 little boys.

• “(as a business owner)…you’re the only one calling those shots. so you're both the CEO and the employee. And I don't know about you, but I can be a bit of a jerk as a CEO to myself as the employee.”

• "The perfectionism, it holds you back. “…done is better than perfect” because at least then you're moving forward. Otherwise you're stuck in the same space, stuck in that perfectionism hole.”

•  “We’re so busy, saying like, "we've got it all together,” that we don't actually stop and wonder if we really do.  And then take that time to give ourselves a little bit of grace and space to say, “Maybe I'm not okay.”
