My guest is my friend and colleague, Ileana Ferreras. Ileana is a trauma-sensitive coach who is also NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) certified and an ICF credentialed Professional Certified Coach.
Ileana talks about how her experience of suffering 5 losses in 50 months led her on a personal journey of healing. Instead of letting her grief and trauma define her, Ileana did (and continues to do) the personal work necessary to heal. She guides us through this important conversation of trauma with ease and provides practical advice on healing trauma in our own lives.
While trauma is not a topic we think of as fun and light, it is one we need to address. We are currently exposed to the likelihood of trauma associated with Covid & the pandemic as well as racism/racial violence and mass shootings occurring here in the US. That's in addition to any personal trauma we may be experiencing. There is hope for healing from trauma but first we need to talk about it.
